Noblesse Oblige - Kingdom Death Lion God modification
This was a salvage operation, and I don't think I would have done it if the Lion God weren't scheduled to be variously upgraded by new content, such as the Silver City which I'm anticipating even if the kickstarter has dragged so long "excited" is far too strong a word.

Dead Man Walking - Night Lords Dreadnought / Hellbrute
A quick one, today. This guy is basically stock, minus a couple horns I cut off to give a lower profile. What was by far most interesting to me on this project was trying to reconcile the organic/biomechanical sensibility (which I feel tends to approach overly cartoony designs) with my Night Lords (which are generally quite subdued, to counter the overwrought aesthetic of bats 'n' lightning. I tried to go with a sick, vaguely Akira-esque blending of flesh into machinery: I thought that simply making the organic forms metallic (so closer to organic metal) wouldn't read, while a clearer delineation between flesh and metal when I was laying down colors honestly made him look weirdly naked.
I'm not going to do a ton in this style, but I'm pretty happy with how he looks, since it gives me options on how to do others when I want to.

Nurture and Nature - Kingdom Death Wet Nurse
First, in case you're not familiar, this would be a definite NSFW due to body horror and nudity...

Workin' for the Man Every Night and Day - Kingdom Death Nemeses
The King's Man features a combination of colors that I think work very nicely together-- orange and purple are some that not only form a pretty nice compliment, but nothing confusing happens if you mix them pretty reasonably.

Reincarnation - Kingdom Death Phoenix
This is the second time I've painted the Phoenix, and it's just an epic model, regarding both scale and detail (and quantity of creepy little hands).
This time, I went with a more traditional red paint job, though still with true Kingdom Death gross fleshy bits.

I am the Lizard Queen, I can do anytheen. - Deadsculpt's Lascivia
Where Ignava has a slick sci-fi feel, I decided to work with Lascivia as her more organic counterpoint.

Hall of Fame - Kingdom Death final survivors, and years 19-20
So, a fun set today- my favorite characters from each of the three campaigns we've completed each got custom models.

A Two-Plus-Two-Equals-Four-Man - King's Man, plus Home? settlement years 7-12
I really like the contradictions in the King's Man- it's a model covered in faces that's faceless, and it's an automaton that has personality.

A Spudman (I've got eyes all around!) - Deadsculpt's Ignava
The Alien/Xenomorph series was a pretty influential part of my childhood* so it was fun to do a paint job based on Giger's aesthetic, to match the model.

Meat Sack - Night Lords Oblitarators
So... yeah. Obliterators took a bit of work to get them both to a point I liked and one I thought at least kinda' fit Night Lords.

Cronenberg...ian? Gigeresque?
For those of you who know Kingdom Death, the name should suffice. For the rest of you, NSFW should do just as well.
