A Bounty Hunter with the Heart of Gold - Grim Angus tactics (part 1 of 2)

Having just finished playing a league with just Grim, and him as practically my only Trollblood Warlock (I believe he's the only one I've played more than once), I felt like it was as good a time as any to write down some notes on my tactics with him.

I have notably less experience with Grim than I did with Magnus, but I feel like I'm getting a grasp of Grim, and by extension, now his army.

Pet Rocks - Trollblood Addition: Dire Troll (modular)

One of the only Privateer Press plastic resculpts I prefer over the original, I finally got a Blitzer, however, that's not quite the full story.

My Rocks' Pets: Trollblood Minions (and Mercs)

The minion minis are some of my favorite in PP's line, and the Thrullg is amongst the best of those: I was pretty excited when it was announced that this weird beastie was making its way out of the sewers of the (original) Iron Kingdoms RPG and on to the battlefield.

Pet Rocks - My Trollblood collection, part 3 of 4

(continued from part 2)
Grim is one of my favorite minis, possibly my favorite trollkin there is. Either way, he's got a lot of character, and was a blast to paint. He's also the only trollkin warlock I have, that I basically have a functioning theme list with, though it would be a lot more functional with a heavy.

Pet Rocks - My Trollblood collection, part 2 of 4

Continuing from last time, a trollblood collection wouldn't be complete without the ballsiest, crankiest, xenophobic(est) shaman of them all.

Pet Rocks - My Trollblood collection, part 1 of 4

Something special happened on Monday, which has almost never happened before. I think once was my Mordheim Skaven warband, one was a Necromunda Ash Wastes Gang... I'm not sure if it's ever happened other than that.

This is the third time I've had a fully painted force, and this is by far the largest of them, and the only completely NMM.

Circle... of Jomon?

An odd and not all that clever title, but I guess it got your attention.

This army's been influenced heavily by my study of prehistoric Japanese ceramics. It's not that historically accurate (since there isn't all that much historical accuracy going around with werewolves and demigods), but I tied to keep it very aesthetically in tune with the Jomon and Yayoi sensibilities.

Warmachine/Hordes, and Battlefield Planning

I've had a number of comments regarding my luck in Warmachine, and, of course, luck is a factor. However, you can push luck and the game in your favor in ways other than the obvious use of focus. Note that this is tabletop planning, not list building, which I'll discuss in the future. This is also primarily for understanding the mechanics of the game: I plan on discussing creative problem solving elsewhere.
