Gaming: Tactics & Reports

While my main passion in the hobby is painting and sculpting, naturally, I love to play table top games. I've DM'd a couple systems, and have played a ton of miniatures games. Right now, I'm playing a lot of Kingdom Death, and board games, and some Malifaux. While I consider myself a solid strategist, when push comes to shove, I'll take a fun loss over a spectacular win, any day of the week.

A few concepts that apply to all strategies presented above:
-I don't play tournaments- I don't like the timed environment or competitive nastiness that can arise. I still play to win, so I'm not going to be presenting weak strategies, but some styles of play might not fit in a timed/tournament setting.
-I play what I write about- I don't believe in "theorymachine" or "theoryhammer" or any such nonsense. I'll present all strategies from testing and actual experience, or, if not, I'll specifically say something is theory.
-I'm not a mathematician. Analysis is based on formulas I've found or modified, but I don't have the technical background to claim figures with absolute certainty. I've double and triple checked my numbers within reason and my ability, however, if something's wrong, politely let me know why.
