Who Knows What Lurks in the Hearts of Men? The Shadow Knows - Seamus's Avatar

While I was double-checking the lyrics, I found out that Devo was already quoting TS Elliot in this song, so it's actually a double-reference today. Does that mean I get combo points, or something?

Pet Rocks - Trollblood Addition: Dire Troll (modular)

One of the only Privateer Press plastic resculpts I prefer over the original, I finally got a Blitzer, however, that's not quite the full story.

Pet Rocks - My Trollblood collection, part 3 of 4

(continued from part 2)
Grim is one of my favorite minis, possibly my favorite trollkin there is. Either way, he's got a lot of character, and was a blast to paint. He's also the only trollkin warlock I have, that I basically have a functioning theme list with, though it would be a lot more functional with a heavy.

Pet Rocks - My Trollblood collection, part 2 of 4

Continuing from last time, a trollblood collection wouldn't be complete without the ballsiest, crankiest, xenophobic(est) shaman of them all.

Pet Rocks - My Trollblood collection, part 1 of 4

Something special happened on Monday, which has almost never happened before. I think once was my Mordheim Skaven warband, one was a Necromunda Ash Wastes Gang... I'm not sure if it's ever happened other than that.

This is the third time I've had a fully painted force, and this is by far the largest of them, and the only completely NMM.

Cadwallons, part 4

My final Cadwallon commission (for now) has been a fun, and one of the bigger commissions I've done.

While this is an end, it's also a beginning-- this is the first set of photos I've taken with my new light box. I'm still getting the hang of it, but am pretty happy with the results, most notably a significant reduction in glare.

Cadwollans, part 3

Another set of Confrontation pieces. For those of you who are unaware, Confrontation is scheduled for a revival within the year, so these fellows will be in good company.

Personally, I'm looking forward to trying out the game eventually. The miniatures, while a little cartoony, are some of the best I've had the pleasure to work with, and I'm hoping the game is as good as its aesthetic.

Cadwollans, part 2

What can I say? Rackham makes some great minis. I really like this second set (though not quite as eclectic as the last batch). I was going to point out my favorites, but I quickly realized that it would be faster listing the ones that weren't great to paint. There's a real weight and sense of place to their poses that I rarely see in other lines, and see in theirs almost every time. Most companies seem to be able to do a good action pose, but I'm a huge fan of Rackham's static and at-ease poses. It's a shame the company went under, but at least there's a decent used market and they're getting reproduced in resin now.

Also, if you haven't noticed an update schedule yet, it usually involves "I actually got a bit of time to photograph minis." I don't have a permanent photo studio/light box/anything like that, so I need to be able to commit a serious chunk of time to set up, meaning you'll see a few batches over a few days (until I get impatient and make a post).
