I wanted to go with a more dynamic/bulkier version of the basic concept, with the only real exception being the left "pine cone" arm that I really didn't like the look of (while the left arm, coincidentally, was the only part that saw no modification).
The bottom row shows a scale shot with the standard Cthonian- the little guy's permanently going to be doing Drone duty, I expect, since now he looks more mechanical than the big brother.
