I had a lot of fun going with a decidedly brighter and broader palate for Hermes than I'm used to.
The layering on materials really gave me two options, of having a lot of redundancy, or going the way I went, with a lot of variety, inspired by the less stark Roman sensibility.
Given Hermes' status as a celebrity, I went with a mix of ornamentation and more practical materials, combining a sense of gaudiness with functionality.
(Oh, and the title was a name reference, no problem with the general, though there was an arm problem that I'll get to in my general review.)
