The Whites of their Eyes - Steelhead Riflemen
So, it's been quite some time since I've posted some of my mercs-- here's a set I touched up. I've always liked the no-nonsense sensibility of the Steelheads, and feel they fit right in with Magnus's lot. The blue bands are a fun little hint towards their loyalties, either to Cygnar as sympathizers in Llael, or to (old) Cygnar as part of Magnus's posse.

Nothin', really... - Clear Void Wretch Test
As with any clear minis, it's a bit of a fight working with the materials. There's the more brittle clear plastic, followed by painting on an un-primed model, and finally trying to make the mini photograph half-decently, which was a bit of a stumbling block in this case. Somehow, in a softbox with only soft lamps lighting, there was still a lot of glare on the models.
The bottom is a fun bit highlighting the transparency, though usually there wouldn't be any light as harsh as that on the Wretch.

Immovable Objects & Unstoppable Forces - Salamanders Firedrake Squad
With the exception of maybe a couple character models and maybe the Space Hulk minis (which are mostly just impressive for how much they got out of simple models), I'd argue these are the best terminator models around.
They were fun to paint, and have some fantastic detail. I particularly like how dynamic they were, and that the armor felt perfectly bulky.
