Working in trade...

While this is a business, at heart, I am still a gamer, and I don't expect to ever be far enough removed from the the gaming side of the hobby that this won't be the case.

Basically, what this means to you (other than having your painter be someone who cares about your minis from a background/gaming perspective) is that I may be willing to work in trade, partially, meaning that you can convert some of your unpainted minis into capital towards getting others painted.

The below is a loose outline of what I'd expect, if you're interested in this.

Because gaming is a luxury (and I can't buy groceries with Space Marines), I'll generally expect more compensation in miniatures than in cash, and will expect that at least half of any commission is in cash.

For instance, if a commission were agreed upon at being $100 worth of work, I might take $60, plus $60 worth of miniatures.

The value of the minis would depend on rarity and availability at a discount: the less common a kit is (i.e. limited edition, out of print, or simply not many around), the more likely I will be to work at closer to retail and/or allow the miniature to count towards a larger portion of the commission work.

Condition is a factor, too, though, the harder a model is to find, the more likely I will be to be interested, regardless of condition.

If you are interested in paying in part with miniatures, and particularly if you have an extensive collection and want more specific interests, please let me know when you contact me.

Below is a list of miniatures I'd be willing to consider.

Common miniatures:

Warhammer 40,000
Space Marines
pieces that would fit with Astral Claws, possibly pieces that are Dark Angels-specific, some of note:
-bikes, attack bikes (if Ravenwing, I'll want some extra
-venerable dreadnought
-Gabriel Seth
-Master of the Ravenwing (jetbike, not land speeder)
-Ultramarines Honor Guard (just bolter/power weapons)
-maybe special characters that don't look too chapter specific (Salamanders and Space Wolves are bad examples, for instance)
-maybe veteran models

Chaos Space Marines
pieces that would fit with Night Lords, some of note:
-Raptors
-Furies
-Marines
-Terminators
-transports

Imperial Guard
-non-regiment-specific pieces, for instance, most vehicles, advisors
-possibly a metal platoon or veteran squad (possible: tallarn, appropriate necromunda pieces, rogue trader plastics)

In all of the above cases, I may take Rogue Trader-era pieces, valued based on rarity.

Books
-Eisenhorn series
-Night Lords books other than Soul Hunter
-Astral Claws/Red Corsairs books

Malifaux
new plastics, depending.

Infinity
Nomads, ALEPH or Haqqislam force of small to decent size, with rules

Space Marines
Flyers: Storm Eagle (up to 2), Caestus, Thunder Hawk
Alternative armor styles (may take partial kits)
Contemptor Dreadnought
Alternative vehicle patterns

Terminators, other than: the power weapon Sergeant; Librarian; genestealer head
tiles, maybe other accessories
any SH-themed extras from white dwarf, etc.
rules for earlier editions/expansions of SH

-Possibly CSM, Marines, or IG stuff from Rogue Trader through early 3rd edition
